CLI Board
The CLI Board is committed to our mission both in acts of service and financial giving with 100% participation. We meet monthly and hold an annual planning retreat to review CLI’s existing Master Plan while seeking the Lord’s vision for the future.
Kathleen Skaar - Chair
In Apri1 1995, Kathleen attended a retreat and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and leader of her life. God called her to start a non-profit ministry called Christian Library International, Inc. in 1996 and He has blessed her faithfulness and grown the ministry in amazing ways. Kathleen has a BA from University of Florida, a MBA from Meredith College and currently enrolled in a Master of Divinity program. She owned several businesses in the past and uses those skills as the Lord leads.
Anders Skaar - Secretary
Anders serves on the board and the staff of CLI as Missions Director. His function is to oversee all CLI outreaches and all shipping. Anders accepted Christ as Lord and Savior in 1995 and has been on several missions trips as a Spanish interpreter. He has been a prison volunteer and currently monitors the CLI website and blog.
Nathan McLeod - Vice Chair
Nathan is a native of Raleigh NC and the owner of Apex Marble & Granite. Nathan McLeod is a Raleigh native. After high school he joined the Army for 3 ½ years as an Airborne Combat Engineer. After the Army he founded Apex Marble and Granite which has grown to 30 employees servicing much of North Carolina. He has been married to his wife Anita for 14 years and has one child. Nathan and his wife attend Apex Baptist Church.
Lanny Bynum - CPA - Treasurer
Lanny Bynum, CPA is a principal at Burns and Bynum, CPA, PA in Cary, NC. He has over 25 years of diverse financial and strategic operational experience and leads the financial, accounting and strategic consulting specialties of the firm. After beginning his career with the international CPA firm, KMPG Peat Marwick, he spent over 20 years in Chief Financial and Operating Officer positions within several industries of various sizes ranging from start-ups to $3 billion companies. His career includes being Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration of Serenex, Inc.; Executive Vice President, CFO and COO at Rockett, Burkhead & Winslow; Executive Director Memorex Telex/International Trading Company; Executive Vice President and Principal of IllumElex Corporation; and Controller and Founding Team Member of the Chemical Industry Institute of Toxicology. Lanny is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Lanny serves on local Boards of Directors and is involved in several community and charitable organizations.
