Inmate Correspondence
At CLI volunteers stamp each book and Bible that we send into the prisons with our address. Inmates see the address and overwhelming write back to us with thanksgiving and praise for God. They are thankful for the books and that God is reaching out to them through us.
Volunteers, called “letter ministers,” personally answer thousands of letters each year with an encouraging response, a tract and applications for free Bible Studies. Sometimes this is the only letter or contact that an inmate has with someone on the outside. Our concern and care for these men and women helps them know that God is listening and looking after them.
