A CLI Vision - Former Inmates to Missionaries
After trusting Jesus as their Savior, many prison inmates have a real thirst and hunger for God. They desire to grow in holiness and serve Christ with a pure heart. God has placed on our hearts a vision to assist former Christian inmates serve him full time.
Our vision is for the CLI Mission Center is to provide the opportunity to learn and work as missionaries possibly on the same campus as CLI or through prison based Bible classes prior to their release. Today, more and more Bible colleges and seminaries offer online or DVD based courses.
We continue to pray for partners for the CLI Mission Center. We ask that you join us in fervent prayer for God to provide the right partners and that God raises missionaries that will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. NIV Isaiah 61:1-3
